My extreme challenge to become the first amputee in the history of the world’s toughest and longest off road race - the Dakar Rally to race it on a motorcycle has ended.
The journey has changed my life. I learned to accept myself for who I really am and understand that I do not need to risk the beautiful life I received as a gift after surviving my accident. I learned that I do not need to prove myself or prove others that I can do this. From a physical challenge to an inner challenge, the race turned out to be my toughest challenge of them all - my "Inner Dakar" has taken me to uncharted territory and taught me what really matters in life.
It is my intention to share with you the lessons and insights I received and hope it will assist you on your own "inner Dakar" through recovery and change
